Private transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to Dúrcal
Door-to-door transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to Dúrcal with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.

Dúrcal and the Valle de Lecrín
Dúrcal sits in the Valle de Lecrín, on the road between Granada and the Costa Tropical, surrounded by orange, lemon and olive groves fed by meltwater from the western Sierra Nevada. The town is best known for the Puente de Dúrcal, a tall 19th-century iron railway viaduct over the river gorge that is now a spot for bungee jumping and walks. People come to hike the river paths, use Dúrcal as a base for the Alpujarra and the Sierra Nevada ski area, and to see nearby villages like Nigüelas and Padul with its lagoon and wetland. Most visitors are day-trippers, hikers and residents rather than beach crowds.
The drive from Málaga Airport to Dúrcal
The route runs inland almost the whole way. From the airport you join the A-7 briefly, then head north on the A-45 towards Antequera, climbing over the pass and dropping onto the A-92 eastbound towards Granada. West of the city the road meets the A-44 (Bailén–Motril), which you follow south past Padul into the Valle de Lecrín. The final stretch leaves the motorway for a short local road into Dúrcal itself. It is motorway for most of the journey, with a couple of long ascents and descents around Antequera and again as you drop into the valley. Expect roughly an hour and a half; add time on winter weekends when Sierra Nevada ski traffic builds up around Granada.
Practical tips for this transfer
Dúrcal is set on sloping ground and its older centre has narrow, steep streets; if your accommodation is in the upper part of town, give the driver the exact address or a nearby landmark so you are dropped as close as possible. Because the route skirts Granada, ask about combining the transfer with a stop in the city or at Padul's lagoon if you have time. There is no beach here, so pack for the mountains: evenings are cool even in summer and winter can bring snow on the higher roads towards Sierra Nevada. If you plan onward trips into the Alpujarra, note that local buses are limited, so arranging return transport in advance is worthwhile. Confirm flight details so pickup adjusts to arrival.
