Private transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to Córdoba city
Door-to-door transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to Córdoba city with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.

What draws people to Córdoba
Córdoba is an inland city, well away from the coast, and most arrivals come for the Mezquita-Catedral and the tangle of whitewashed streets around it. The Judería, with the old synagogue and Calleja de las Flores, sits right beside it, and the Roman Bridge crosses the Guadalquivir to the Torre de la Calahorra. Day-trippers and culture travellers dominate, often combining Córdoba with Seville or Granada. May is the busiest month: the Patios Festival opens private courtyards to the public, and the Feria and Cruces de Mayo fill the calendar. Summers are extremely hot, so many visitors come in spring or autumn. The Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos and its gardens, plus the ruins of Medina Azahara west of the city, round out most itineraries.
The drive north on the A-45
The route leaves the coast entirely. From the airport you join the motorway network around Málaga and pick up the A-45 heading north, climbing away from the sea and over the higher ground near Antequera. The road then descends into the flatter farmland and olive country of the Guadalquivir valley before reaching Córdoba. It is dual carriageway almost the whole way, so the ride is steady rather than winding, and the scenery shifts from coastal hills to open agricultural plains. Expect roughly an hour and three-quarters to two hours depending on traffic around Málaga. The last stretch enters the city and slows considerably: the historic core around the Mezquita has narrow, partly pedestrianised streets where a car cannot always reach the door.

Practical tips for this route
If your hotel is inside the Judería or near the Mezquita, tell the driver in advance: many streets there are restricted or too narrow, and the drop-off point may be a short walk from the entrance with your luggage. Have the exact address and, ideally, the nearest square or gate. There are no meaningful roadside stops until well past Antequera, so use the airport for toilets and water before setting off, especially in summer when the valley heat is intense. The A-45 is fast but Málaga's ring roads can back up at peak times, so allow extra margin if you have a fixed check-in or a train connection at Córdoba's AVE station. For a return pickup, confirm a meeting point outside the pedestrian zone rather than at the monument itself.
