Expect roughly five hours of motorway driving, so it's an afternoon on the road. Because of the distance, treat this as a half-day journey rather than a quick pickup. Tell the driver your exact hotel and which beach it faces — Levante and Poniente have very different access routes, and the one-way system around the Levante towers means the nearest drop-off point isn't always the hotel's main street address. Old-town accommodation involves narrow streets where the driver may stop at the edge and walk you in. Build in a break; a stop near Murcia or Alicante is sensible for families. Consider whether flying into Alicante-Elche would suit better for a future trip, as it's under an hour away — but for a confirmed Málaga arrival, a direct private transfer avoids two train changes and dragging luggage across stations.
