Private transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to Baza
Door-to-door transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to Baza with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.

Baza on the Granada high plateau
Baza sits on the Altiplano de Granada, a high inland plain northeast of the provincial capital, well away from the coast. The town is best known for its Arab baths, among the most complete in Spain, and for the Dama de Baza, the Iberian sculpture unearthed at the Cerro Cepero necropolis. In the old centre you'll find the Colegiata de Santa María de la Encarnación and narrow streets around the Plaza Mayor. Baza draws visitors heading into the Sierra de Baza natural park for hiking, and travellers curious about the cave-house districts common across this region. Each September the Cascamorras festival brings a paint-covered procession between Baza and nearby Guadix. Winters here are genuinely cold and summers hot, unlike the milder coast.
The A-92 route across to Baza
The drive leaves the airport on the coastal A-7 before climbing inland on the A-45 towards Granada. From the Granada ring road the route joins the A-92, a fast dual carriageway that runs east through Guadix and on to the Baza exit. It's motorway or dual carriageway almost the entire way, so the journey is steady rather than winding, though you gain considerable altitude as the coast gives way to open plateau, olive groves and the bare hills of the Altiplano. Expect roughly two and a quarter hours in normal conditions. The scenery changes noticeably: from the built-up coast to the dramatic badlands and cave-house country near Guadix. The final approach into Baza itself is short, leaving the A-92 for the town centre.

Planning your transfer to Baza
Because Baza is a two-hour-plus inland run, agree the pick-up time with some margin for arrivals and confirm the exact street address, as the old town's narrow streets around the Plaza Mayor can be hard for larger vehicles to reach; a nearby drop-off point may be more practical. If you're continuing to the Sierra de Baza park or to cave-house accommodation in villages like Benamaurel or Caniles, mention it in advance so the driver plans the final leg. Pack for the altitude: nights are cold from autumn to spring, well below coastal temperatures. There are service stations along the A-92 near Guadix if you want a break. For return flights, allow the full driving time plus airport margin, since there's no fast alternative back to Málaga.
