Private transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to Antequera
Door-to-door transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to Antequera with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.

Why people travel to Antequera
Antequera sits inland in the middle of Andalusia, well away from the coast, and draws a different crowd than the beach resorts. Visitors come for the Dolmens of Menga, Viera and El Romeral, a UNESCO World Heritage site on the edge of town, and for the El Torcal limestone landscape just to the south, popular with walkers. In the old town you'll find the Alcazaba, the Real Colegiata de Santa María and dozens of churches packed into narrow streets. The Peña de los Enamorados, the profile-shaped rock north of the city, is visible from far off. Its central position also makes it a base for reaching Granada, Córdoba and Seville, so business travellers and coach-tour groups pass through regularly all year.
The drive up the A-45 corridor
The route leaves the airport and joins the A-45 motorway heading inland, away from the coast. It's dual carriageway almost the entire way, so the journey is straightforward and usually takes under an hour depending on traffic around Málaga. The road climbs steadily as you leave the coastal plain, passing Casabermeja and crossing higher ground before the land opens out into the Antequera basin, with farmland and olive groves on both sides. You'll notice the temperature and scenery change from coast to interior. Arriving, the motorway skirts the modern edge of town; reaching the historic centre with the Alcazaba and Colegiata means climbing into older, narrower streets where larger vehicles slow right down.

Practical tips for this transfer
If you're heading to El Torcal, note the visitor centre is roughly a 15-minute drive uphill from Antequera on a narrow road; arrange whether your transfer takes you to the town centre or continues up. Access to the upper El Torcal car park is sometimes restricted at busy times, so plan the town as your drop-off if in doubt. The Dolmens site is on the northern approach and easy to reach by road, but check opening days as it closes Mondays. Hotels in the historic core often can't be reached by car directly because of pedestrian and one-way streets, so confirm the exact drop-off point and expect a short walk with luggage. Antequera is also served by the AV rail station a few kilometres out, useful if you're connecting onward to Granada or Córdoba.
