After leaving the motorway the character changes completely, with a rural road climbing and winding through olive terraces toward the village. The final approach is the part passengers notice most — a series of bends gaining height, with the white houses of Almogía appearing on the ridge ahead. It is a short trip in distance but the last stretch is slow, so allow more time than the kilometres suggest. Total driving time is usually around three-quarters of an hour depending on traffic leaving the airport and the city ring roads.
