Private transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to Algeciras
Door-to-door transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to Algeciras with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.

Why people travel to Algeciras
Algeciras sits on its own bay facing Gibraltar, and most arrivals are heading for the port — one of the busiest in Europe — to catch ferries to Ceuta or Tangier in Morocco. Foot passengers and drivers pass through here constantly, especially during the summer Operación Paso del Estrecho when Moroccan families cross home. Beyond the terminals, the old town centres on Plaza Alta with its tiled benches and two fountains, near the Iglesia de la Palma and the concrete-vaulted Mercado Ingeniero Torroja. Locals swim at Playa del Rinconcillo and Playa de Getares. Inland lies the Parque Natural de los Alcornocales, a cork-oak forest popular with hikers, while Tarifa's kitesurf beaches are a short drive west.
The drive along the coast to the bay
The route runs southwest almost entirely on motorway, following the A-7 and the AP-7 toll road along the Costa del Sol. You'll pass Fuengirola, Marbella and Estepona before the road climbs slightly across the foothills below Sierra Bermeja, with the sea on your left much of the way. As you approach the Campo de Gibraltar the landscape opens onto the Bay of Algeciras, and on a clear day the Rock of Gibraltar and the industrial cranes of the port come into view together. The final stretch drops into the city through San Roque and past the refinery. Expect around an hour and a half; the AP-7 toll section is faster and avoids the slower urban stretches around Marbella.

Timing your transfer around the ferry
If your ferry to Ceuta or Tangier Med leaves from Algeciras port, allow a comfortable margin: the terminal has separate lanes for foot passengers and vehicles, and check-in and passport formalities for Morocco take time, especially in July and August. Tell your driver which shipping line you're using (Balearia, FRS or Trasmediterránea) so you're dropped at the right entrance rather than the general roundabout. Traffic on the AP-7 builds sharply during Paso del Estrecho weekends, so book an earlier pickup then. If you're staying in town rather than sailing, note the old town's streets around Plaza Alta are narrow and partly pedestrian, so drop-offs happen on the nearest accessible street. Keep passports handy for any Guardia Civil checks near the port.
