Private transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to Alcaudete
Door-to-door transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to Alcaudete with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.

What Alcaudete is known for
Alcaudete sits in the Sierra Sur of Jaén province, on the historic border between the kingdoms of Castile and Granada. Its landmark is the Castillo Calatravo, a restored fortress of the Order of Calatrava crowning the hill above town, with an interpretation centre inside. Below it, the Iglesia de Santa María la Mayor and the tight streets of the old quarter climb the slope. The town is surrounded by olive groves and is well known across Spain for its mantecados and polvorones, produced here in quantity around Christmas. The Vía Verde del Aceite, the greenway built on the old olive-oil railway, passes nearby and draws cyclists and walkers. Visitors are mostly domestic travellers, families with roots here, and people touring Jaén's castle route via Alcalá la Real and Martos.
The drive inland from the coast to Alcaudete
This is an inland journey of roughly 155 km, usually a little over two hours. From the airport the driver takes the A-45 north through the Montes de Málaga corridor to Antequera, then continues on the A-92 towards Granada before turning north into Jaén province on the A-316 through Alcalá la Real. The terrain changes noticeably: coastal sprawl gives way to the plain around Antequera, then to endless rolling olive plantations as you climb toward the Sierra Sur. The final approach into Alcaudete is a two-lane road that winds up to the hillside town, and the castle becomes visible well before you arrive. There is no motorway for the last stretch, so the pace slows over the closing kilometres.

Practical advice for this transfer
Because Alcaudete is a couple of hours inland with no direct train or airport shuttle, a private car is the practical way to reach it; the alternative is a bus from Málaga with connections. Give your driver the exact street address in advance: the old town near the castle has steep, narrow lanes where large vehicles cannot always reach the door, so you may be dropped at the nearest accessible point. Bring a light jacket even in summer, as the Sierra Sur cools sharply after dark and sits higher than the coast. There are few service stops on the final A-316 section, so plan any break around Antequera. If you are collecting mantecados to take home, buy them in town before the return leg rather than expecting shops at the airport.
