Near the coast you join the A22 (Via do Infante) and head west, passing exits for Albufeira, Lagoa and Lagos. The final section leaves the motorway toward Luz and Burgau on smaller regional roads, ending with a short descent into the village on narrow streets. Total driving time is usually around three hours in normal traffic. The A2 and A22 are tolled; on a private transfer this is handled for you rather than at manual booths.

Because Burgau's centre is steep and its lanes are narrow, drivers usually stop at the upper edge of the village or a nearby drop-off point rather than directly at your door by the beach; expect a short walk downhill with luggage, so pack accordingly.
