Pissouri splits into two parts. The village sits up the hillside around a small square (the plateia) with tavernas, while Pissouri Bay lies below at sea level, reached by a steep winding road. The dramatic white cliffs of Cape Aspro rise just east of the bay. Petra tou Romiou (Aphrodite's Rock) is a short drive west, and the wine villages of the Krasochoria are inland.

The route is almost entirely motorway. You leave Larnaca Airport on the A3, join the A1 west past the Zygi and Governor's Beach area, then continue on the A6 as it skirts north of Limassol and heads toward Paphos. It's fast, well-surfaced dual carriageway with long open stretches and glimpses of the sea on the left. The scenery is dry hills and vineyards rather than dramatic mountains. You leave the motorway at the Pissouri junction, after which the character changes: a narrower road climbs to the village, or drops sharply down a series of bends to Pissouri Bay. That final descent to the bay is the slowest part and the one passengers notice most. The whole journey typically runs around 80 minutes.

Tell your driver clearly whether you're staying in the village or at Pissouri Bay — they are separated by a steep road and confusing them adds ten to fifteen minutes. If your accommodation is a villa on the hillside, share the exact address or a pin, as many properties sit on unnamed lanes off the main village roads. The Columbia Beach Resort and Columbia Beach Hotel are distinct properties at the bay, so specify which. There are no large supermarkets down at the bay itself, so stock up in the village or on the way if you land late; a couple of mini-markets cover basics. For day trips, Petra tou Romiou and Kourion's archaeological site are both a short drive, making a return airport trip via those stops straightforward to arrange in advance.
