Private transfer from Larnaca International Airport to Peyia
Door-to-door transfer from Larnaca International Airport to Peyia with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
Peyia, Coral Bay and the edge of the Akamas
Peyia sits on the hillside above Coral Bay, in the far west of Cyprus north of Paphos. Most visitors head straight down to Coral Bay's sandy beach and its strip of tavernas, or continue to the Sea Caves and the start of the Akamas peninsula, where Lara Bay is a protected turtle-nesting beach. The village itself, up the slope, keeps a working square with a church and older stone houses, while the surrounding area is full of villas and long-stay residents, many of them British. Summer brings families and beach-goers; spring and autumn draw walkers heading into the Akamas gorges and along the coast towards the Baths of Aphrodite. Coral Bay stays busy into the evening, but Peyia proper is quieter and residential.
The drive west from Larnaca along the A5 and A6
Peyia is one of the longest airport runs on the island, since it lies at the opposite corner from Larnaca. Almost the whole journey is motorway: the A5 west past Kofinou, then the A1/A6 corridor skirting Limassol and running along the coast to Paphos. Expect open, straightforward driving with the sea intermittently on your left. The character changes only in the final stretch, when you leave the motorway near Paphos and climb on local roads through Kissonerga and Tala towards Peyia, with a winding uphill approach and narrower village streets near the top. Traffic around Limassol can slow things at peak times. Allow roughly two hours; it is a long enough leg that a comfortable, air-conditioned car makes a real difference.
Planning your Peyia transfer and reaching your villa
Because it is a two-hour drive, confirm your exact address before travelling: Peyia and Coral Bay are spread across many separate villa developments and hillside streets, and names alone won't get a driver to the door. A pin location or the resort/street name helps enormously. Many villas sit on steep, narrow lanes, so a large vehicle may need to stop nearby. If you land late, note that Coral Bay's supermarkets and tavernas mostly close by evening, so consider a quick stop for essentials on the way. For onward exploring, the Sea Caves, Adonis Baths and the Akamas need a hire car or booked trips, as buses are limited. Book the return transfer with plenty of buffer, since the long motorway leg back to Larnaca leaves little room for delays.
