The Molos promenade and adjacent Akti Olympion beach sit closer to the old town, within walking distance of Limassol Marina and the medieval castle. West of the city, Lady's Mile is a long, shallow, flat stretch by the salt lake and port, popular with locals and dog-walkers. Governor's Beach, with its white chalk cliffs, lies east toward Larnaca. Summer brings families and sunbed crowds; spring and autumn suit walkers along the coastal path. Tell your driver the hotel or beach name, not just "Limassol", as the strip is long.

The route is almost entirely motorway, so it's fast and undemanding. Leaving Larnaca Airport, you join the A3 briefly, then the A1 heading west toward Limassol. The road runs slightly inland at first, passing the Kalavasos and Governor's Beach exits, with dry hills and the occasional glimpse of the sea to your left. Approaching Limassol it becomes the A5, skirting the city's northern edge. Depending on your beach, the driver exits toward Amathus and the eastern hotel zone, or continues to the old town and Marina exits. The final stretch off the motorway involves ordinary city avenues along the coast. Traffic is generally light, though the Limassol exits can slow at rush hour and on summer weekends.

Confirm your hotel's exact location before travelling: the eastern strip around Amathus/Germasogeia is a separate exit from the old town and Marina, and choosing wrong adds city driving. If you land late, note that the motorway is well-lit and the journey is unaffected, but the seafront restaurants near Molos close earlier than the bars in the Marina. For beach days, Dasoudi and Lady's Mile have free parking and public access, useful if you're staying inland. Many Germasogeia hotels have narrow front driveways, so a private car drops you at the door rather than a bus stop down the road. If you plan a wine-village day trip to Omodos or Koilani afterward, arrange it as a separate booking, as those roads climb into the Troodos foothills.
