Total road distance is roughly 80 to 85 km and, with light traffic, the run takes around 70 to 80 minutes. The final stretch leaves the motorway for the city grid, where the last few kilometres into the centre are the slowest part.

Time your journey against the Silesian rush hours: the A4 and the city approaches around Mysłowice and Sosnowiec clog between roughly 7–9am and 3–6pm on weekdays, which can add 20–30 minutes.
