Na Xamena is a cliff-top pocket of coast in the municipality of Sant Joan de Labritja, just west of the village of Sant Miquel de Balansat and its small harbour, Port de Sant Miquel. It is best known for the Hotel Hacienda Na Xamena, which opened in the 1970s and hangs over the sea on high red cliffs. Most people here are couples and quieter travellers who want sunset views rather than clubs. Cala Xarraca, Cala Benirràs with its Sunday drumming, and the inlet at Portinatx are all a short drive on. The area is rural and wooded, with pine slopes running down to the water, and it draws walkers and swimmers mainly from late spring through October.

From the airport the route runs on the E-10 dual carriageway past Ibiza town and Jesús, then joins the road towards Santa Eulària before branching inland on the road to Sant Joan (Ctra. de Sant Joan / EI-800). After passing the turn for Sant Llorenç you head west toward Sant Miquel. The last stretch is where the drive changes character: once past Sant Miquel village the road narrows and climbs, twisting through pine woods with several sharp bends before dropping toward the Na Xamena cliffs and the Hacienda. Total distance is roughly 42 kilometres and the journey normally takes about 50 minutes. In August the section around Santa Eulària and the northern beach turnoffs can slow noticeably in the middle of the day.

The final approach to Na Xamena is a genuinely narrow, winding cliff road, so a booked driver who knows it is more comfortable than a hire car, especially after dark or with luggage. Give the exact property when you book: the Hacienda Na Xamena is signposted, but nearby villas scatter across unnamed lanes off the Sant Miquel road and are easy to miss. There are no large supermarkets right at Na Xamena, so stock up in Santa Eulària or at the shops in Sant Miquel village on the way. Mobile signal can drop on the wooded final kilometres, so agree a meeting point and share the driver's number in advance. For sunset arrivals, allow extra minutes because the last bends are slow.
