Private transfer from Grenoble-Alpes-Isère Airport to Les Arcs Peisey Vallandry
Door-to-door transfer from Grenoble-Alpes-Isère Airport to Les Arcs Peisey Vallandry with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
The Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry ski area
Les Arcs is a cluster of car-reduced resort villages built at altitude above Bourg-Saint-Maurice: Arc 1600, Arc 1800, the newer Arc 1950 with its pedestrian square, and Arc 2000 under the Aiguille Rouge. Peisey-Vallandry sits lower on the other side of the valley, made up of Plan-Peisey and Vallandry and keeping more of a traditional village feel. Both connect through the Paradiski domain, where the Vanoise Express cable car crosses to La Plagne. Skiers and snowboarders fill these slopes from December to April; families tend toward Arc 1800 and Vallandry, while stronger skiers head to Arc 2000. In summer the Aiguille Rouge lift and hiking trails draw walkers and bikers, though many lifts and shops run a shorter season.
Driving up the Tarentaise valley from Grenoble
From Grenoble-Alpes-Isère Airport near Saint-Étienne-de-Saint-Geoirs, the route runs on motorway for most of the way: the A48 and A41 toward Chambéry, then the A43 toward Albertville. From Albertville you follow the N90 up the Tarentaise valley through Moûtiers and Aime toward Bourg-Saint-Maurice, the valley town at the foot of the resorts. The journey is around 200 km and typically takes about two and three-quarter hours in good conditions. The last stretch changes character: for Les Arcs the road climbs in tight switchbacks above Bourg-Saint-Maurice, and for Peisey-Vallandry you turn off near Landry onto a narrower winding mountain road. Expect slower going once you leave the valley floor, especially after snowfall.
Practical advice for this transfer
Tell us exactly which village you need: Arc 1600, 1800, 1950, 2000, Plan-Peisey or Vallandry are separate drop-off points, and distances between them are significant. Many Les Arcs residences are inside pedestrian zones, so your driver may stop at a car drop-off area from which you walk or use a resort shuttle to the building — have your residence name and access details ready. An alternative to the mountain road is the funicular from Bourg-Saint-Maurice up to Arc 1600; useful to know if conditions are poor. Saturday is the main changeover day, so the N90 and the final climbs can be slow. In winter, travel with proper boots and warm layers accessible, and confirm your drop-off point with the accommodation before arrival.
