The route runs almost entirely on the GC-1 motorway, heading southwest along the coast from the airport. You pass the industrial edges near Vecindario, then the turnoffs for Maspalomas and Playa del Inglés, with dry, low hills on one side and the sea on the other. Amadores is beyond Puerto Rico, so you stay on the motorway past Arguineguín before taking the Puerto Rico exit. The final stretch leaves the fast road and climbs a short series of bends up the hillside to reach the resort's upper entrances. Traffic on the GC-1 flows well most of the day, though it can slow around the Maspalomas junctions in peak periods. The whole journey is usually around 45 minutes in normal conditions.

Amadores is built on a slope, so tell your driver the exact complex and building name in advance — some accommodation is reached from an upper road rather than the promenade, and the difference can mean a lot of stairs with luggage. If you're staying near the beach itself, note that vehicle access to the seafront is limited, and drop-offs are usually at the nearest road above. Supermarket options right in Amadores are modest; the larger shops are in Puerto Rico, so plan a first-day stock-up there. For evenings out, Puerto Rico's Europa and Puerto Base centres are the closest hubs, walkable via the coastal path but along an uphill return. Book pickup times with a buffer, as the GC-1 near Maspalomas can back up during morning departures.
