Private transfer from Faro Airport to Cascais

This is a long cross-country journey, not a short airport hop. From Faro the route runs onto the A2 motorway and heads north through the low hills and cork-oak plains of the Alentejo, which is fast but sparsely populated and light on services. Approaching Lisbon you cross the Tagus estuary on the Ponte 25 de Abril, then leave the city westbound on the A5 (Auto-estrada da Costa do Sol), which runs straight to Cascais and Estoril. The whole trip is motorway for almost its entire length and typically takes a little over three hours without stops. The final stretch drops off the A5 into Cascais itself, where the streets near the old town and marina become narrow and one-way.

Because it is a three-hour-plus drive, treat it as a proper road trip: build in a comfort stop, as the A2 service areas are spread out across the Alentejo. Traffic on the Ponte 25 de Abril and the A5 can slow badly at Lisbon rush hours and on summer Friday and Sunday evenings, so allow extra time if you have a booking. If Cascais itself is your only reason for landing at Faro, check whether flying into Lisbon is more direct, but a private car makes sense if you're combining the Algarve and the Lisbon coast. Ask your driver to confirm your exact drop-off point, since much of central Cascais is pedestrianised or restricted; hotels along the Estoril–Cascais seafront are easier for a car to reach than addresses deep in the old town.
