The final stretch from Le Châble up to Verbier is a sequence of tight switchbacks that gains height quickly, and it is the only part that feels slow. Plan on roughly three hours in normal conditions. In winter, snow on the upper section can add time, and the switchbacks are where you'll most notice the altitude change.

Give your driver the exact chalet name and street in advance: Verbier's lanes are steep and some upper addresses are hard to reach, and in peak winter weeks parts of the resort restrict car access. If snow is forecast, allow extra buffer before any lift pass or dinner reservation. The road passes through Martigny, a sensible last stop for a supermarket or pharmacy before the climb, since prices and choice in the resort are limited. Keep a passport handy even though the crossing is usually seamless, and confirm whether your accommodation offers parking or a drop-off point near Médran.
