Private transfer from Dubrovnik Airport to Mlini
Door-to-door transfer from Dubrovnik Airport to Mlini with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
What Mlini is like
Mlini sits on the Župa Dubrovačka bay, a string of small resort villages south-east of Dubrovnik that includes Srebreno, Kupari and Plat. The name comes from the old watermills fed by freshwater springs that still run down to the shore beneath rows of plane trees. It's a quieter, family-oriented base: pebble beaches, a shaded seafront promenade, and hotels such as the Astarea and the Sensimar complex near Srebreno. A regular boat runs from the Mlini jetty to Dubrovnik's Old Port, which many guests prefer to the road. People come mainly from late spring to early autumn to swim and use Mlini as a calmer alternative to staying inside the city walls, with Cavtat and Dubrovnik both a short hop away.
The drive from the airport to Mlini
Dubrovnik Airport is at Čilipi, and Mlini lies between the airport and the city, so the transfer is short — roughly 13 km and around 15 to 20 minutes depending on summer traffic. The route climbs away from the airport plateau and joins the D8 Adriatic Highway, the coastal road that hugs the cliffs above the sea. You pass Cavtat's turn-off and the bay opening up on your left before descending toward Župa Dubrovačka. The final approach into Mlini leaves the main highway and drops down a narrow, curving side road to the seafront, where several hotels and villas sit close together. Drivers usually know which entrance matches your accommodation, since the lanes near the promenade are tight and one-way in places.
Practical tips for this transfer
Because Mlini's seafront is pedestrianised in parts, some villas and apartments can't be reached directly by car — the driver may stop at the nearest access point above the promenade, leaving a short walk down steps to the water. Tell us your exact hotel name when booking; "Mlini" and "Srebreno" run together and a wrong drop-off means a long walk with luggage. If you're planning to visit Dubrovnik during your stay, the local boat from Mlini's jetty avoids Old Town parking and traffic entirely. For arrivals, note the airport is genuinely close, so a pre-booked car is quicker than waiting for connecting shuttles. Travelling with young children or lots of bags is easy here since the drive is brief and mostly smooth motorway-standard coastal road.
