Private transfer from Dalaman Airport to Lara

Lara is a coastal district on the eastern edge of Antalya, best known for its long sandy beach and the cluster of large themed hotels in the Kundu tourism zone — properties built to resemble the Kremlin, a Venetian palace, or an ocean liner. Most visitors are families and package travellers on all-inclusive stays between May and October, drawn by the flat golden sand and the warm, shallow water. Just west sits the Lower Düden Waterfall, where the river drops straight into the sea over a cliff, reachable on a short boat trip. Lara Beach Park and the Konyaaltı-facing city centre are a taxi ride away, and the old town, Kaleiçi, and the harbour are further west in central Antalya.

This is one of the longer transfers from Dalaman, since Lara sits at the far side of Antalya, roughly 330 km east. The route follows the D400 coastal highway the whole way, passing Fethiye, Kaş, Kalkan, Demre, Finike and Kumluca before climbing over the Taurus foothills into Antalya. Much of it is genuinely winding mountain road with tight bends, sea views and stretches where you climb and descend repeatedly — comfortable in a private car but slow, so budget around four and a half hours. Once past central Antalya, the final approach into the Kundu hotel zone runs on wide, flat resort access roads. Expect a stop or two for a break; the middle section has few services between towns.

Because the journey is long, tell your driver in advance which hotel you're staying at — the Kundu zone has many properties spread across several kilometres, and some share similar names, so give the exact hotel and, if you have it, the block or reception building. A private transfer avoids the multi-stop shuttle buses that stop at every resort in turn, which can add over an hour. Travel with water and snacks, and note that the mountain sections can make some passengers carsick — sit forward and keep a window cracked. If you're prone to motion sickness, the alternative of flying into Antalya Airport is far closer, but for a fixed Dalaman arrival this coastal road is the only sensible route.
