Beyond Aydın the route joins faster dual carriageway across the flat Büyük Menderes farmland before turning northwest towards the coast on the D515 into Kusadasi. The final approach descends towards the sea with the town spread below. Passengers should expect a mix of mountain road, open highway and a busy town entrance, especially near the port when cruise ships are in.

Because the journey is long, plan a comfort and food stop; the Aydın area has service stations roughly halfway that are far better than anything near Dalaman itself. Consider whether Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, much closer to Kusadasi, suits your flight better, but if you are already committed to Dalaman, book a private car rather than piecing together buses through Muğla and Aydın. If your hotel is in central Kusadasi near the port or old town, warn the driver in advance: streets around the harbour and Bar Street are narrow and often pedestrianised, so drop-offs may be a short walk from the door. For summer arrivals, travel with water and expect afternoon heat on the inland leg.
