La Plagne Villages is one of the high-altitude sections of the La Plagne resort, sitting around 2,050 m between Plagne Centre and Plagne Soleil. It's a ski-in, ski-out cluster of apartment residences, most of them built in wood-and-stone chalet style rather than the concrete blocks of the older Plagne Centre. Families and intermediate skiers favour it because slopes run right to the door and Plagne Centre's shops and ski school meeting points are a short walk or free shuttle away. La Plagne is linked to Les Arcs by the Vanoise Express cable car, forming the Paradiski area. The main season is December to April; in summer a smaller crowd comes for hiking, mountain biking and the Olympic bobsleigh track at La Roche de Mio side.

From Chambéry-Savoie Mont Blanc Airport near Viviers-du-Lac, the route runs on the A43 motorway towards Albertville, then the A430 and the N90 dual-carriageway up the Tarentaise valley through Moûtiers and on to Aime. This first stretch is fast and mostly flat, following the Isère river between the valley walls. At Aime (or Macot-la-Plagne) you leave the main road and start the climb: roughly 15 km of tight switchbacks gaining over 1,500 m to reach the Plagne villages. The final approach is slow and winding, with hairpins and short tunnels, and in winter it is regularly snow-covered. Total driving time is usually a little over two hours, longer on Saturday changeover days when Moûtiers and the mountain road both get busy.

Tell the driver which residence and which village sector you need, since Plagne Villages, Plagne Soleil, Plagne Centre and Belle Plagne have separate access points and some apartments sit along pedestrian or shuttle-only lanes where vehicles can only reach a nearby drop-off. Many residences hand over keys at Plagne Centre or require a key code, so have your check-in instructions ready before arrival. In winter, carry boots and a warm layer in the cabin rather than deep in the luggage, as the last section is cold and snowy. Saturdays are the heaviest changeover days; an earlier flight helps avoid queues through Moûtiers. If anyone is prone to car sickness, the hairpins above Aime are the part to watch for — sit forward and avoid reading on that final climb.
