Door-to-door transfer from Cagliari Elmas Airport to Solanas with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.

What Solanas is and who goes there
Solanas is a small seaside hamlet on the southeast coast, part of the municipality of Sinnai, sitting on the SP17 road between Torre delle Stelle and Villasimius. Its main draw is the long sandy Spiaggia di Solanas, backed by low hills and served by a campsite, a handful of beach bars and small holiday houses rather than large hotels. It fills up in July and August with families and campers from Cagliari, plus day-trippers driving the coast road. Out of season it is very quiet. People choose it for the beach itself and for its position: Villasimius and its beaches (Porto Giunco, Simius) are a short drive further east, so many use Solanas as a calmer base away from the busier resort centre.
The drive along the SP17 coast road
From Cagliari Elmas the route heads east around the city and joins the coastal SP17 toward Villasimius. The first part is straightforward road across the flat area near the airport and the outskirts of Cagliari, but once you reach the coast the SP17 becomes a winding two-lane road that hugs the shoreline, climbing and dropping through Kal'e Moru, Geremeas and Torre delle Stelle before descending into Solanas. Expect around 45 kilometres and roughly 55 minutes, longer in peak summer when this single coastal road carries all the beach traffic. The bends and sea views make the final stretch slow but scenic. There is no motorway on the coastal section, so a private car avoids the parking hunt at each cove along the way.
Practical tips for this transfer
Solanas has very limited public transport: the ARST bus toward Villasimius passes on the SP17 but runs infrequently and stops on the main road, not at individual houses, so a direct transfer is far more practical with luggage. Give your driver the exact name of your campsite, villa or the specific beach access point, since properties are spread along the road and side lanes rather than clustered in a centre. In July and August allow extra time for coastal traffic, especially late afternoon when beachgoers head back to Cagliari. Shops and services are minimal, so stock up before arrival if you land late. If you plan to visit Villasimius or Cagliari during your stay without a car, arrange return timings in advance rather than relying on finding transport locally.
