Most people here are summer residents and families renting villas from June to September, plus visitors who use it as a quiet base for day trips to Ostuni's white old town, roughly 8 km inland, with its cathedral and steep lanes. It is deliberately residential rather than a nightlife spot, so evenings are calm; the livelier bars and restaurants are up in Ostuni itself.

The route leaves Brindisi Airport and joins the SS379 dual carriageway heading northwest towards Bari. This is fast, flat coastal road most of the way, running a short distance inland from the Adriatic with olive groves and dry-stone walls on either side. The journey is close to 40 km and normally takes around 45 minutes with light traffic. You leave the SS379 at the Ostuni/Villanova exit, after which a shorter local road drops towards the coast and into the pine-covered resort. The final approach is the slowest part: Rosa Marina has a controlled entrance and a network of narrow internal lanes, so the last few minutes to a specific villa are at low speed. In July and August the exit and coastal roads can back up.

Rosa Marina is a large complex with a gate and no single obvious drop-off, so send your driver the villa number, the internal street or lot name, and ideally a pin location, not just "Rosa Marina". Some entrances require the resident's access code or a call to reception, so have your host's phone number ready before you land. There are limited shops inside the complex, so if you arrive late consider stopping in Ostuni or at a supermarket on the way for groceries, as options nearby close early. For beaches like Torre Pozzelle and Costa Merlata and for the old town you will want a rental car or pre-booked transfers, since taxis are scarce here. A child seat should be requested in advance for family arrivals.
