Because the drive is long and the peninsula road winds, agree with your driver on a stop—Balıkaşıran or a roadside spot near the isthmus works well for stretching legs. If you are staying in one of the southern coves like Ovabükü or Palamutbükü rather than Datça town, tell us the exact village in advance: these are reached by narrow branch roads that add time beyond the town, and satnav is unreliable. Fuel, ATMs and larger supermarkets thin out west of Datça town, so buy essentials before heading to a cove. For late arrivals, note that the last hour is unlit and twisty.
