Private transfer from Bari Karol Wojtyła Airport to Otranto
Door-to-door transfer from Bari Karol Wojtyła Airport to Otranto with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.

What Otranto offers when you arrive
Otranto sits at Italy's eastern edge, on the Adriatic coast of the Salento. The walled old town is compact and largely pedestrian: you reach the Cathedral, with its 12th-century mosaic floor showing the Tree of Life, and the Aragonese Castle by walking narrow limestone lanes above the harbour. Just north, the Baia dei Turchi and the Alimini lakes draw families and swimmers through July and August, while the lighthouse at Punta Palascìa marks the most easterly point of the country. Divers and day-trippers head south toward Santa Cesarea Terme and the Zinzulusa cave. Summer is busy and lively at night around the marina; spring and autumn are quieter and better for walking the coastal paths without crowds.
The drive south through the Salento
The route runs the length of the Salento peninsula, roughly 195 km and about two and a quarter hours. From Bari airport you join the fast road south past Brindisi and toward Lecce, mostly dual carriageway with flat, farmed terrain and long stretches of olive groves. After Lecce the road narrows through Maglie and the inland Salento, passing small towns before the final approach to the coast. The last part descends toward Otranto with the Adriatic coming into view. This is not a mountain drive; it is level for most of the way, so it suits travellers who dislike winding roads. Traffic thickens near Lecce and again on the coastal stretch in peak summer, when day-trip movement adds time.

Practical tips for this transfer
Cars cannot enter the walled old town of Otranto, so agree on a drop-off point in advance: the marina area and the roads just below the walls are the usual stops, and you finish on foot up the limestone lanes. If your accommodation is at Alimini, the Baia dei Turchi campsites or one of the resort complexes north of town, give the exact name, as these lie several kilometres from the centre along the coast road. In peak August the coastal approach and central parking fill early, so an earlier arrival saves time. There is no airport nearer than Bari or Brindisi for scheduled flights, and public transport from Bari involves a change at Lecce, which makes a direct car the simpler option with luggage.
