Private transfer from Barcelona-El Prat Airport to Palamos

The route leaves El Prat on the ring roads and joins the AP-7 motorway north, running inland past Granollers and around Girona for most of the journey. This part is fast, dual-carriageway driving with little to notice beyond the Montseny hills on your left. After Girona the road narrows: you turn off toward the coast on the C-31 and C-66 corridor through the flat Emporda farmland near Vilobi and Palamos, and the final stretch into town follows more local roads past Vall-llobrega. Expect roughly an hour and a half, longer on summer Fridays and Sundays when the whole coast heads home. The approach into Palamos itself is gentle rather than mountainous, but the streets near the port and old town are tight, so the last few minutes are slow.

Give your driver the exact beach or urbanisation, not just "Palamos". Sant Antoni de Calonge, La Fosca and the town centre are separate areas with different access, and many holiday homes sit on the hillsides above La Fosca where GPS can be unreliable. In peak summer the seafront and port area become restricted or pedestrianised in the evenings, so agree a drop-off point a short walk from your accommodation if you're staying near the marina. If you plan to eat the local prawns, they're auctioned in the late afternoon, so dinner is the better bet than lunch on arrival day. There are no direct trains to Palamos, which is why a car transfer is genuinely the simplest way in from the airport; the nearest rail station is at Flaçà or Girona, both requiring an onward bus.
