Private transfer from Antalya Airport to Side
Door-to-door transfer from Antalya Airport to Side with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
What Side is known for
Side sits on a small peninsula around a Roman-era old town, where the standing columns of the Temple of Apollo overlook the harbour and the town's ancient theatre and agora line the main pedestrian streets. Most visitors are families and couples staying in the beach resorts strung either side of the centre: Kumköy and Colakli to the west, Sorgun and its pine-backed shore to the east. Summer is the busy season, with warm sea and long days; spring and autumn suit those who want the ruins and coastal walks without the heat. The old town's narrow lanes are lined with restaurants, jewellery shops and cafés, and traffic there is restricted, so hotels inside the peninsula are reached on foot or by short shuttle.
The drive along the D400 coastal road
The route runs east from Antalya Airport on the D400, the main coastal highway that carries traffic through the resort belt towards Manavgat and Alanya. It is a wide, mostly dual-carriageway road, largely flat and set slightly inland from the sea, passing the outskirts of Kadriye and the Belek golf area before reaching the Side turn-offs. The drive covers roughly 65 kilometres and usually takes around 55 minutes, longer in July and August when the coast road fills up. The final stretch leaves the D400 for local roads into Kumköy, Colakli, Sorgun or the old-town peninsula. If your hotel sits inside Side's pedestrian core, the vehicle drops you at the nearest accessible point, as cars cannot reach the harbour-front lanes.
Practical tips for this transfer
Side's resort names cause the most confusion: Kumköy, Colakli, Sorgun and central Side are all marketed as "Side" but sit several kilometres apart, so give the exact hotel name and district, not just "Side", when you book. Large complexes often have more than one gate and a service entrance, so note which one your reception uses. If you are staying inside the old town, expect a short walk with luggage from the drop-off point, and pack accordingly. Manavgat, just east, has the nearest large market and hospital if you need supplies or care. For flights arriving late at night, a private transfer avoids the wait for resort shuttles that batch several hotels together; for the return, allow extra time in peak summer as the D400 back towards the airport slows in the afternoon.
