What Evrenseki is and who stays there
Evrenseki is a resort strip in the Manavgat district, sitting just west of the Side peninsula on a long sandy shoreline. It's built around large all-inclusive hotels, so most visitors are families and couples coming for a beach week between May and October. The town of Side, with its Roman theatre, the seafront Temple of Apollo and narrow old-town lanes full of shops, is only a few kilometres east and is the obvious half-day trip. Manavgat, inland to the north, has the weekly market and the low, wide Manavgat Waterfall. Kumköy and Çolaklı are the neighbouring resort areas along the same coast. People come here for a fixed base by the sea rather than nightlife or sightseeing-heavy holidays.
The drive east from the airport along the D400
The route runs east from Antalya Airport on the D400 coastal highway, the main road that links Antalya to Alanya. It's a wide, mostly flat drive across the coastal plain, passing agricultural land, greenhouses and the built-up edges of Serik, Belek and Manavgat before reaching the Side area. Expect roughly 60 to 65 kilometres and about an hour, longer in peak summer traffic when everyone is heading to the same resort belt. There are no mountain passes or winding sections on this leg; the terrain stays low and open. The final stretch leaves the highway and threads through the resort access roads toward the seafront, where hotel entrances are clustered close together and signage can be sparse after dark.
Practical tips for arriving in Evrenseki
Have your exact hotel name and its access road ready, because Evrenseki's hotels sit side by side and several share similar names with places in nearby Kumköy and Çolaklı; a pin location saves time on the final approach. Many of the larger complexes have a security barrier and a set drop-off point, so tell your driver if you have a specific gate. If you land late, note that the resort side streets are poorly lit and shops close early. For the return, build in extra time in July and August, when the D400 back toward the airport slows around Manavgat and Belek. Keep small Turkish lira for tips and any roadside stop, and carry water for the drive, as the coastal plain gets very hot midday.
