Private transfer from Alghero-Fertilia Airport to Budoni
Door-to-door transfer from Alghero-Fertilia Airport to Budoni with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
What Budoni is known for
Budoni sits on Sardinia's north-east coast, spread across several frazioni rather than one compact centre. Most visitors head straight for the long sandy stretches at Sa Sciumara, Cala di Budoni, Agrustos and Tanaunella, or to the small marina at Porto Ottiolu with its cafés and moorings. Families dominate in July and August, drawn by the shallow, gradual entry to the water and the resort residences behind the dunes. Just south lies Posada with its hilltop castle, and to the north San Teodoro and the Puntaldia golf area. From several beaches you can see the granite bulk of Tavolara island offshore. Spring and September suit walkers and anyone wanting the beaches without the peak-season traffic.
The cross-island drive to Budoni
Alghero-Fertilia airport is on the opposite, western coast, so the transfer crosses much of northern Sardinia. The usual route runs from the airport toward Sassari, then east along the modern Sassari–Olbia dual carriageway (SS729), which carries most of the distance at a steady pace with rolling inland scenery and cork-oak country. Near Olbia the road joins the SS125 Orientale Sarda heading south toward Siniscola, passing San Teodoro before reaching Budoni. Expect roughly two hours and ten to thirty minutes depending on summer traffic around Olbia. The final approach leaves the main road for local turnings into the individual frazioni and coastal residences, some down narrow lanes, so knowing the exact villa or beach name helps the driver.
Planning this specific transfer
Because Budoni is split into scattered frazioni like Agrustos, Tanaunella, Ottiolu and Porto Ottiolu, give your accommodation's exact locality and, if it's a residence complex, the block or entrance name — several share similar road names. Many holidaymakers actually fly into Olbia, which is much closer; if you're landing at Alghero it's usually because of flight availability, so budget for the full cross-island time and avoid tight onward connections. Stock up on water and snacks at the airport, as the SS729 has limited services between Sassari and Olbia. If you plan beach days without a car, note that the frazioni are spread out and taxis are scarce in peak season, so arranging return airport pickup in advance is worthwhile.
